DIY Cleanser – Lemon Juice

Lemon juice or juice from a lime can be used as a great cleanser and toner. Lemons and limes are a natural bleecher. This means lemon juice and lime juice, no you don’t have to use both, use one or the other, will lighten discoloured skin, such as redness, brown/age/sun spots, dark circles, acne, blemishes, etc. All you have to do is squeeze half a lemon, or use lemon juice that has been squeezed, onto your skin. Same amount as a lime, if you prefer to use a lime. You can apply it all over your face, or just where you want to lighten your skin. If you have sensitive skin, you will want to dilute the juice with water. Trust me, this works. This is how I’m able to use this homemade cleanser or if I don’t want to use it as a spot treatment.

I will dilute my lemon juice about a third to whatever amount of lemon juice you are using. This also applies to lime juice as well. If you’re skin is more sensitive than mine, add more water. It does not cause any irritation at all. I get it if you are skeptical with sensitive skin, I was, too, until I dilute the mixture. Test out the mixture on your arm or a small spot on your face to see if you have a reaction, if you so, add more water to the mixture.

Did you try this remedy? What are your thoughts on it?

Also, do you have any homemade/DIY cleanser remedies? I’d love to hear about them!

Stacey
